[edit]Thanks for your message. Please understand that in removing the link, I am in no way commenting on the value or accuracy of the website. It's just that generally speaking fansites are not regarded as reliable sources for information, and Wikipedia has no reason to favour one fansite over another. It is also the case that Wikipedia's purpose is to contain verifiable accurate information, rather than link to it. So if there is relevant, encyclopaedic information that can be verified on the fansite, we would like it in the article itself, not elsewhere. (This is what I meant be Wikipedia not being a web directory.)
This is why guidelines suggest that 'most' fansites are not linked to. Obviously there are exceptions, and some are the de-facto "official" source of the best information. With this in mind, could you raise the matter on the talk page, explaining why you think this fan site should be linked to.
